She is one of the most promising talents of the new generation. French-speaking Switzerland first encountered her in 2014 when she won the 2nd Prize at the Geneva Competition. A disciple of Dimitri Bashkirov at the Escuola Superior de Música Reina Sofia in Madrid and of Eldar Nebolsin at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, the Indo-American pianist then benefited from Sir András Schiff's “Building Bridges” programme during the 2019-2020 season, which enabled her to get closer to Saanenland. Pallavi Mahidhara now returns to Gstaad Menuhin Festival & Academy under the impressive banner of the 1st Olivier Berggruen Prize, with a recital that promises to be one of the highlights of this year's edition: three centuries of musical creation in one evening!
