The Chopin Competition in Warsaw is held only once every five years and is perhaps the greatest goal for every aspiring young pianist. The most recent prize winner, Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho, makes his way up to Rougemont with the Four Ballades by the most French of Polish composers, as well as two of Beethoven’s greatest sonatas – music that simply demands the most from any artist.
