For Krzysztof Michalski, selecting Chopin and Poulenc for his debut in Gstaad almost felt like an obvious choice: Poland, which is in his blood, and France, a country that has embraced and celebrated so many Polish artists! With his programme, the cellist brings together two sonatas by composers who were deeply influenced by renowned virtuosos: Auguste-Joseph Franchomme with Chopin and Pierre Fournier with Poulenc.
