Les Choristes [The Chorus] – Movie Classics: film with the score performed live by orchestra
Today's Music
Sunday, 17. August 2025
6 p.m., Gstaad Festival Tent
The film itself is a masterpiece. When the French drama is shown on the big screen and the soundtrack is performed live and perfectly synchronised with a massive orchestra and vocal soloists, the experience becomes even more breathtaking – fantastic visual worlds meet colossal sound! In a unique production by the Lucerne City Light Orchestra, Christophe Barratier’s The Chorus (“Les Choristes”) takes the spotlight – a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience the touching, if slightly eccentric, adventure of composer Clément Mathieu in an entirely new way. It becomes even more emotional amidst the story about the moving power of music, brought to life by the voices of the Boys Choir Lucerne.
