Ullrich Böhme is in a way the … “successor” of Johann Sebastian Bach! During his more than thirty-five years (1986-2021) as “Thomasorganist” of the famous St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, the musician has brilliantly continued the age-old legacy of the great cantor, who himself had been bestowed it by his illustrious predecessors. This summer, he will bear witness to this on the organ of the Church of St. Maurice in Saanen, in a programme that will (inevitably!) give pride of place to the great Johann Sebastian, but will also highlight other lesser-known German masters such as Nicolaus Bruhns, Josef Labor and Josef Gabriel Rheinberger.
