Just barely an adult, and already a ten-year career as soloist! Yesong Sophie Lee is not wasting a second of her youth, studying with Simon James and Hiro David in Seattle and benefitting from the assistance of artists such as Augustin Hadelich, Paul Kantor and Brian Lewis. When you see her in concert at the chapel in Gstaad, don't forget to take a minute to imagine her performing with the Seattle Symphony at the age of … eight! Her programme shows exceptional maturity for her age, with rare works such as Sibelius's Humoresques and Country Dances, and Albert Markov's Korean Rhapsody, a homage to her native Korea.
