She made a name for herself by transcending the deliciously cynical cabaret songs of the Brecht-Weill tandem, resuscitating the legendary figure of their original performer, Lotte Lenya. Today, she has in turn become an icon due to her success both in theatre and cinema productions. An artist through and through, Ute Lempe coming to Saanen is a genuine event. Especially as she will not only be singing Weill, but also Piaf, Brel, Ferré and Gainsbourg, a few of the greatest names of French chanson.
