Chamber Music

Wednesday, 4 September 2019
7.30 pm, Zweisimmen Church

For an evening, the Zweisimmen Church will be transformed into a Parisian salon around the year 1730. A place to party, to play, to talk, to dance… and of course to listen to music!

In period costumes, Master of Ceremonies Stephan Mester will lead the soiree with words and dance, entertaining the audience with various European influences in the purest of Parisian tradition of the Baroque era, leading Menuets, Courantes and other French talks.

For his part, Maurice Steger and his ensemble, with typical instruments of the French Baroque period, will welcome other salon musicians into their midst in order to address the grandest of ceremonies.
