His Bach recital dedicated to the memory of Yehudi Menuhin was one of the absolute highlights of last year’s festival. Back at the head of “his” Gstaad Piano Academy, Sir András Schiff offers the opportunity once again to spend an evening with “the greatest of the greats”: Bach the pedagogue (the author of the Two-Part Inventions written as musical exercises for his son Wilhelm Friedemann) in dialogue with other composers focusing on the young, such as Bartók and his cycle “For Children”.
